On completion of a Post-Graduate course in illustration at Wimbledon School Of Art followed by six years of freelance, Mark became a full-time illustrator in 1982.
From 1982-2003 Mark painted nearly 500 book jacket illustrations for most major UK and USA publishers as well as paintings for advertising, editorial and music industry clients.
In 1990, a monograph of Mark’s work was published entitled “Mark Harrison’s Dreamlands” which contains over ninety jacket paintings for which he was awarded the British Science Fiction Association’s prize for Best Artwork of the year.
